Snoop Dogg now says he has ‘nothing but love and respect’ for Trump

Rapper Snoop Dogg has reversed his opinion of Donald Trump after years of harsh criticism, saying he has “nothing but love and respect” for the former president.

In an interview in London Sunday Times Last weekend, the “Gin and Juice” rapper was asked about his thoughts on the Republican front-runner in the upcoming presidential election. In response, he praised Trump, noting that the former president pardoned Suge Knight’s former colleague Michael “Harry O” Harris.

“Donald Trump?” Snoop Dogg said. “He has done nothing wrong to me. He has done nothing but great things to me. He pardoned Michael Harris.”

Knight co-founded the record label Death Row Records in the 1990s with Harris and Dr. Dre, and signed Snoop Dogg early in his career. Harris was convicted of conspiracy to commit first-degree murder and was pardoned by President Trump in 2021 after serving 30 years of a 25-year life sentence. According to USA Today. President Trump pardoned Harris, along with 69 others, before he left office.

“I have nothing but love and respect for Donald Trump,” Snoop added.

The rapper’s recent emotions are in stark contrast to what he has expressed in the past.

In a 2016 interview with Rolling Stone, Snoop Dogg said he had never seen a “mother father” like Trump, saying, “How could we let someone as reckless as him run this country? Is that so?” he asked.

In 2018, Snoop Dogg also harshly criticized President Trump and rapper Kanye West, an avowed Trump supporter.

The rapper has also been known for controversial stunts in the past, such as sharing an EP jacket on social media in 2017 in which he was standing over President Trump’s dead body. During a visit to the White House in 2018, he smoked a blunt object outside the building.

One of Snoop Dogg’s most controversial moves was shooting a clown dressed as Trump with a toy gun in a music video.
