Snoop Dogg sparks anger among liberals by criticizing LGBTQ content in children's films

Snoop Dogg, the popular rapper, recently shared that he has been hesitant to take his grandson to see movies due to lesbian-themed scenes, sparking a notable reaction from some left-leaning commentators.

The 53-year-old artist, whose real name is Calvin Cordozar Broadus, expressed his concerns during a conversation on the podcast “It’s Giving.” He recounted a moment when his grandson became confused after seeing a scene of a lesbian couple kissing in a film marketed for children.

“These are kids. Do you really need to show this at such a young age? They’re going to start asking questions, and what can you tell them?” he noted.

Broads mentioned that the film suggested the couple had children, and his grandson immediately questioned, “Daddy Snoop, how can a woman have a baby with another woman?”

“Honestly, right now, going to the movies is a bit daunting for me,” he added, a hint of frustration in his voice.

“You caught me off guard,” he continued. “What part of this film was necessary? Why show this to kids?”

The movie “Lightyear,” which faced backlash for its so-called woke elements, struggled at the box office. Although part of a beloved franchise, it ranked second in its opening week and is now considered one of Pixar’s least successful films.

Media outlets like USA Today have reported that many social media users seem to side against Snoop, with some remarks specifically highlighting the discomfort around adult themes in children’s entertainment.

“The biggest sold out in hip hop,” one response noted.

Another user asked, “But what about his grandson’s question regarding a man’s ability to have a baby with a woman?”

“I’m really tired of how rampant homophobia is these days,” voiced another commentator.

Others have questioned Snoop’s political correctness, recalling an incident when he performed at a cryptocurrency event during Donald Trump’s inauguration.

“You can’t hate me enough; I love it too much,” Snoop responded, facing criticism then. “Focus on your own life. I’m fine. I’m still black, 100% black.”
