MSNBC contributor Claire McCaskill told “Deadline” on Monday that there are a lot of strange things about former President Donald Trump’s supporters and rally attendees.
“Well, there are a lot of strange things about people who have an undying loyalty to Donald Trump. There are two categories: Even if behind the scenes Donald Trump is a horrible person, a horrible leader, And there’s a category of cowardly Republicans who are afraid not to support Donald Trump in public even though they think he’s a horrible, horrible president. And there are a lot of people who really believe in this man. ”
Host Nicole Wallace said, “Who’s in there?”
“These are the people who came to his rallies,” McCaskill said.
“Supporters,” Wallace said.
“Probably over 30% of Republicans, probably 25% nationally,” McCaskill said. You know, they believe his stuff, they believe what he says. In fact, they think he’s a good businessman. I mean, he’s one of the worst businessmen in the history of the planet. I don’t know if he’s ever been completely red. You probably know better than me, but he never really seems to blush. It appears that he has continued to have debts that exceed his assets for most of his adult life. But those people think, “He’s a very good businessman, so he’s going to be a great president.” ”
