Car Crashes into Detroit Airport Check-In Counter

A man was seen screaming as he was pulled from Detroit Metropolitan Airport on Friday night. He had crashed his vehicle through a glass door, ending up at a Delta Airlines check-in counter.

This individual was wearing a black jersey of Detroit Lions star receiver Amon-Ra St. Brown and was subsequently taken into custody by multiple officers.

Some social media users found humor in the situation, joking about the ongoing frustrations of Lions fans.

According to officials, the crash happened around 7:30 PM at the McNamara Terminal, which is the largest terminal at the airport.

Video footage captured the aftermath, showing the vehicle after it stopped.

Witnesses, including Ali Khalifa, who was at the airport, reported that security responded immediately. Khalifa expressed relief, stating, “Thank God the police, TSA, and everyone responded so quickly. It all happened in seconds.”

The Wayne County Airport Authority Fire Department reported that six people were treated at the scene, although Delta confirmed that no staff were hurt and flight operations continued as usual.

The driver’s identity has not been disclosed, and the official cause of the crash remains unknown, according to local news outlets.

Interestingly, the driver’s choice of jersey sparked commentary online, as fans of the NFL team reacted. One post noted, “Detroit Lions fans are literally falling apart after a 9-8 season.”

A satirical sports outlet humorously speculated that Amon-Ra St. Brown himself might have been behind the wheel, claiming he was distraught over the team’s latest playoff failures.

The fictional account stated, “Amon-Ra was taken away by the police shouting ‘It’s over, it’s over, the window is closed, it’s over,'” referencing the team’s struggles to reach the playoffs over the last two years despite a winning record.
