Fans Flock to Seattle for 2026 World Cup

The 2026 World Cup has drawn visitors from across the globe to the United States.

From the East Coast to the West Coast, cities are buzzing with excitement, and Seattle is no exception. On the waterfront, at Pier 58, fans have gathered ahead of the much-anticipated match between the U.S. men’s national team and Australia, set to take place at Lumen Field on Friday.

A lively procession kicks off with a 12-minute march at 10 a.m. Pacific Time. The area can accommodate 1,709 people, and, well, it seems there are quite a few eager fans waiting to get in.

Interestingly, not just American fans are taking part; Australian supporters have traveled to watch their national team in action.

By early Friday morning, at around 7:30 a.m., fans in golden yellow Australian jerseys were already exploring Seattle’s packed breweries and streets.

Of course, attending a game at Lumen Field doesn’t come cheap. Ticket prices have skyrocketed, with the most expensive going for over $10,000 and the cheapest nearing $1,500, according to Game Time.

Australia, sitting at the bottom of the group table, enters this match with a reputation for resilience, setting the stage for a compelling showdown. Both teams start with three points from their opening matches, so a victory for the U.S. could position them to finish first in their group.

Star Player Christian Pulisic Misses Game

Unfortunately, the U.S. team received disappointing news on Friday morning: star player Christian Pulisic will not be playing against Australia.

The 27-year-old suffered a calf injury during training last week, which he aggravated in a previous match against Paraguay.

Head coach Mauricio Pochettino consulted with medical staff late Thursday and again Friday morning regarding Pulisic’s status.

The match between the USA and Australia is set to kick off at 12:00 PM Pacific Time.
