Sofia Vergara has opened up about dating again after her divorce from ex-husband Joe Manganiello.
The 51-year-old actress, who split from the 47-year-old actor last year after seven years of marriage, gave an update on her love life in a recent interview. Daily Mail.
When asked if the “Griselda” star uses dating apps, Vergara replied, “No, I want to!”
“I’m not good with technology, so I’m definitely going to click on the wrong thing. I’m open to having fun and meeting people,” Vergara said.

“It’s only been six months,” she said, referring to her split from Manganiello in July 2023.

The Colombian native continued, “It’s strange, because I’ve lived in the United States longer than I have in my home country. But I’m still very Latin. To Latin music. I’m training. In my car, there’s Latin music playing. My friends, my closest friends, are either cousins or people I met in kindergarten.”
“So now I need a husband!” Vergara added, before clarifying, “No, I don’t need a husband, I want one.”
“It doesn’t even have to be a husband,” she continued. “partner.”

Last week, Vergara candidly said that her breakup with Manganiello was due to a disagreement over their desire to have children.
In an interview with the Daily Mail, Vergara further elaborated on the circumstances that led to their separation.
“Joe is four years younger than me and has never had children,” said Vergara, who has a son, Manolo, 32, with ex-husband Joe Gonzalez.
she continued. “He decided he wanted kids and I didn’t want kids. ‘Imagine, by the time this kid is 10 years old, I’ll be in my 60s. That’s grandma. That’s it!’ That’s what I was like.”

Vergara insisted there was “no animosity” between her and Manganiello, explaining that they simply had different family goals.
“I know how much sacrifice you have to make to be a good mother,” she said. “I have to exist. And my career is important to me. I can’t disappear. A lot of people are counting on me.”

Vergara told the Daily Mail that although she doesn’t want to become a mother again, she is looking forward to becoming a grandmother.
“I’m 51 years old and my son is 32,” Vergara said. “I’m ready to play with my grandchild, and when I’m done playing, I say, ‘Okay, take it. It’s yours!'”
Last July, Vergara and Manganiello announced their breakup in a joint statement. “We have made the difficult decision to divorce,” the couple wrote to Page Six at the time. “As two people who love and care for each other, we respectfully ask that you respect our privacy as we enter this new phase in our lives.”

The former couple met at the White House Correspondents’ Dinner in 2014, which Vergara attended with her then-fiancé Nick Loeb. Manganiello and Vergara began dating after her engagement to Loeb ended, and they tied the knot in November 2015.
