Team USA and Team Europe were paired up for the first round of the 2024 Solheim Cup in a foursome on Friday morning.
Four matches will be played in the morning at Robert Trent Jones Golf Club in Virginia.
Stacey Lewis and Suzann Pettersen announced who they had organized and unveiled their chosen strategy during the opening ceremony on Thursday afternoon.
While the Europeans changed up their alternating shot combinations, the Americans kept their most dynamic duo intact.

World No. 1 Nelly Korda will be paired with Alisen Copes to take on social media favourite Charlie Hull and her partner Esther Henseleit.
Korda and Corpus were 2-0 in foursomes last year.
Celine Boutier will support Albane Valenzuela, one of four newcomers competing in this year's tournament. American Sarah Schmezel will pair with Lilia Vu, another first-timer, with a woman of recent experience. Rose Chan will be playing in her second Solheim Cup, but will play alongside newcomer Lauren Coughlin.
Last year, the U.S. team won all four matches in the morning foursomes session, the first time they'd ever done so. The European team was only leading by four holes that morning.
Last year ended in a draw, meaning that a European team has retained the Solheim Cup since winning it in 2021.
Lexi Thompson and Megan Kang, who started in Spain's foursomes on Friday, will not take part in this session. Also absent from the US are Allison Lee and Andrea Li. Team Europe – Anna Nordqvist, Madeleine Sagstrom, Georgia Hall and Leona Maguire – will not take part in Friday morning's foursomes.
