Some Court Rulings, Preliminary Injunctions Are Due to Protest ‘Pressure’

On MSNBC’s “Weekend” broadcast on Saturday, AFL-CIO president Liz Schuler said “that was a success in some of these recent court decisions” and “a preliminary injunction is taking place.”

Schler said, “[I]T is about freedom of speech. That’s because you, as an individual, you don’t have a very strong voice, but you do collectively. So, this is what we see and if you think about it, it is a form of protecting our democracy. The moment we began to restrain freedom of speech and freedom of assembly, that was when authoritarians took root. So we are trying to educate our members. We are trying to show people that it is the muscle you have to constantly accumulate and that you have to be there. If not, if you’re silent, then these things are too much, right? ”

She continued. “And I’m encouraged, because all these people, all of these people are appearing, and given the fact that we’ve just succeeded in some of these recent court decisions, Elon Musk is quietly and slowly creeping back to Tesla, some of these executive orders have retreated.
