Shazam! The Star's Zachary Levi says California Gov. Gavin Newsom (D) and other Democratic leaders should be held accountable for the devastating fires in Los Angeles County, saying Newsom is guilty of mismanagement of the ongoing devastation. He added that he believed there was “criminal negligence” against him.

Zachary Levi spoke to Fox News host Jesse Watters on Wednesday about the fires raging in Los Angeles County.

“This is just incredible mismanagement, incredibly poor leadership. I would go as far as to call it criminal negligence,” Levi said.

“Gavin Newsom was governor for five years, or lieutenant governor for eight or nine years before that. Some of the worst fires we've ever had in California under his watch. We clearly know that the biggest problem plaguing California is these fires and the landslides that follow. And specifically at a time when fire department budgets are being cut, we are intentionally not doing the work we can to avoid these problems or to serve our departments effectively. Sometimes they are essentially doing nothing, and worse than doing nothing.

Levi blamed California's poor water management policies, which allow rainwater and snowmelt to flow into the ocean.

“At some point, it goes beyond mere chatter. At some point, it goes beyond negligence,” he said.
