There are a lot of complicated emotions involved in being a sports fan, we all understand that.
The good times, the bad times, the in-between moments, whoever you root for, even the all-time teams, are all part of it — just ask any Kansas City Chiefs or Golden State Warriors fan. every day Throughout their respective dynasties, life was rosy for them.
But this is the positive side of the spectrum, and as a Dallas Cowboys fan, I can tell you that life on the other side is just as hard, except without the ultimate payoff. As sports fans, in my case the Cowboys, the only thing we can count on is the vulgarity of sports. It's a fact of life. If you don't believe me, just watch the games unfold in all their pure glory on the first weekend of college football.
To get a better understanding of this phenomenon, I decided to ask one of the greatest players in college football history, former Heisman Trophy winner Robert Griffin III, who sat down for a conversation with me this week on the Blogging The Boys YouTube channel (you can watch the conversation below). We talked about the Dallas Cowboys, Dak Prescott, and, of course, the little things in sports.

Given the current state of the Dallas Cowboys, I told RGIII that he only knows the little things in the sports world and that he needs to figure out how to thwart them with the bar he has against the Philadelphia Eagles. He suggested he go for the smallest bite possible, a tough proposition when a Snickers bar is involved.
Of course we have to try, but we know we will fail, just like my Dallas Cowboys.
