The son of a Florida judge is accused of brutally assaulting an unarmed optometrist in prison, knocking him unconscious, and punching two other medical workers.

Within 24 hours, she received an “overwhelming response” identifying the suspect as Eric Moneyham, the son of a Florida compensation judge.

Moneyham was booked into the Bergen County Jail. While being examined at Lockup's medical center, he knocked a staff member to the ground with a “severe punch”, hitting him more than 40 times and breaking his jaw and nose.

Five days later, he was further charged with aggravated assault after he allegedly punched a female doctor in the face.

Meanwhile, the NYPD did not take Mr. Moneyham into custody as a “person of interest” for arrest in connection with the Goldstein assault, which police initially classified as a felony but later reduced the charge. . to a petty crime.
