Sonja Morgan was taken away from a restaurant in Florida via ambulance after allegedly being placed on a “blacklist” from a popular New York City venue.
The 61-year-old reality TV star appeared emotional and upset while speaking to a police officer outside Echo Palm Beach on Thursday night, as captured in a video. Interestingly, those recording the scene noted that she was also laughing despite the circumstances.
Witnesses mentioned that Morgan talked with responding officers and staff for about 15 minutes before she was loaded onto a gurney to be taken to the hospital.
The situation seemed somewhat chaotic, as it was reported that she had called for an ambulance for a friend who had supposedly collapsed.
It remains uncertain how her medical evaluation will unfold, and her team has not responded to inquiries regarding the incident.
Earlier in the week, Morgan made headlines in New York City when she refused to settle a $1,000 bill at Tucci’s restaurant. Reportedly, she even contacted the owner, Max Tucci, after receiving her check.
Witnesses described her demeanor as hysterical, claiming she exclaimed, “I’m a celebrity!” and insisted she wouldn’t pay, asserting that others have compensated her to dine at their establishments. This scene was reminiscent of something you might expect from a reality show.
She had made a reservation for a table of three on a busy Saturday night and was eventually asked to pay—she did, but left the impression that she wouldn’t be welcomed back in the future.
Later, Morgan attributed the incident to a “clear misunderstanding,” believing her meal was part of a promotional agreement. Yet, Tucci refuted this, stating that no such arrangement existed and criticized her for taking advantage of the situation, especially given the current challenges faced by restaurants.
