Sophie Cunningham sings a Garth Brooks hit in her torn jorts at an Indy bar, PGA drink prices, and meat.

Sophie Cunningham and a Summer Challenge

Sophie Cunningham from the WNBA stands out as quite the contrast to common stereotypes often associated with athletes. It’s interesting to think about how many players might not even recognize a classic Garth Brooks song. Can Sophie sing? I guess that’s up for debate, but one thing’s for sure: she’s got the right vibe for a night at a country bar in Indianapolis. This video is just plain fun—nothing more, nothing less. And honestly, that’s the kind of simple joy I hope for as we approach 2026, marking America’s 250th anniversary. This is the version of America I want to see.

This summer, I challenge you to find a night just like this one. While you may not catch Sophie belting out country hits, you’re bound to find exciting nights with a similar spirit. Embrace it—experience the amazing parts of this country and appreciate how fortunate we are to call it home.

Keeping Critters Out of Your Garden?

– An email from Steve in Richmond, Virginia: If you have ideas for keeping animals away from your garden, I’d love to hear them!

Reactions to the Idaho Walk-Up Music Youth Baseball Incident

– Rick from Sanger, Texas writes: This highlights a trend in America. Young baseball players now think they need walk-up music, and behaviors like flipping bats and staring down pitchers seem to be becoming the norm. Have you seen youth basketball tournaments lately? It’s the same scenario.

What do you think about this behavior in youth sports? Is it linked to parenting styles? Could this impact their future ability to function in the workforce or society?

This entitlement seems to stem from Millennials to Gen Z, and now we’re left with a new generation of spoiled individuals. Take a look on a plane any day; you’ll meet folks who think it’s all about them and don’t grasp that others aren’t here to serve them. Society has certain etiquette rules. The new changes in baseball, like the pitching clock, feel like a shift by someone who just can’t appreciate the game the way it was—it’s frustrating.

Idaho Teen Umpire’s Response to Coach’s Complaints

Educational aspects of the game have taken a back seat. Many coaches don’t seem to understand the nuances of gameplay anymore, and rule changes aren’t fostering better understanding. Respect for the game’s integrity seems to have dwindled.

Kinsey: I see where Rick is coming from and, believe me, there’s probably no bigger opponent of walk-up music than I am. But I also think the way the teenage referee managed that situation in Idaho was commendable. I heard it was near the end of the game, and honestly, he probably just wanted to get through it. Can’t blame him for that.

– John W. writes: I suspect that the coach might have misinterpreted some lyrics in the walk-up music, which led to confusion.

Chris “Mad Dog” Russo Takes the Stage at Fat Joe’s World Series Performance

– Stefan emails: Your account of the Idaho incident is incorrect. The walk-up song was actually “I Kissed a Girl” by Katy Perry, which challenges the league’s music rules. The coach remained calm, but the referee was not, drawing unnecessary attention.

Kinsey: Should I trust what Stefan says? It seems he has evidence that contradicts the initial reports. I’d appreciate any footage he can provide.

Spotlight on the Savannah Bananas

– Tom T. checks in: Regarding the Savannah Bananas, last summer, I got five tickets for a game, which was a steal at $30 each. The pregame festivities were a blast, with rock concerts and autographs—but the communications were out of sync from the sound system. It was too loud, and I couldn’t catch any announcements.

Kinsey: Change is inevitable, but the magic doesn’t feel the same anymore. That said, I still cherish nights spent enjoying baseball and music with my family.

Buffalo Wild Wings Revelations

Nope, Buffalo Wild Wings didn’t pay me to say this. I just know my family lives for their chips and queso. It’s usually $9.49, but the endless app deal at $9.99 is a real win. The mozzarella sticks are a must-have!

From the Road: What Mike T. and Cindy T. are Discovering

– Mike T. shares: Check out this carved rocking horse I saw on the Trans-Canada Trail in Duncan, British Columbia.

A Screencaps reader spotted this carved wooden horse along a road in British Columbia.

That’s all for now. Tonight, the pool cover is coming off. Ironically, there’s frost expected tonight, but it should warm up over the weekend, giving us a taste of spring before summer hits hard. The deadline is fast approaching.

Mrs. Screencaps is planning some planting soon, and I’ll be soaking up the evening on the patio until the birds settle down. Wishing everyone a productive day! If you’re retired, enjoy a nice round of golf. Have a great day.
