Indiana Fever guard Sophie Cunningham never imagined her pre-game routine would take this turn. Her mother, instead of sending the typical “lucky” message, has started texting her to look out for a flying green dildo before games.

In a recent episode of the “Show Me Something” podcast, Cunningham shared the humorous twist her family has added to their game-day communication amid the ongoing WNBA flying sex toy incidents. “It’s funny because my family always texts me before games, and now my mom says, ‘Look out for the flying dildo tonight,’” she explained.

In another game between the Hot Sparks and the Fever, Cunningham found herself stepping over a dildo that had landed on the court just before halftime.

The creators of Green Dildocoin, a cryptocurrency, have claimed responsibility for these stunts. Just recently, two more dildos were thrown during a Chicago game, while another attempt to toss one into the court at a Liberty Wings match failed to make it past the stands.

Concerns about player safety have been raised by players like Cunningham. Lynx coach Cheryl Reeve has also expressed serious worries, remarking that these actions contribute to the inappropriate sexualization of players and stating that those responsible should face consequences.
