Sophie Turner Opens Up About Her Dating Struggles
Sophie Turner recently shared some candid thoughts about her dating life in an interview with NET-A-PORTER. She mentioned, “I’m kind of firing her,” perhaps referring to her romantic pursuits. “Sometimes life just happens.”
The 29-year-old actress revealed, “Honestly, I haven’t seen my friends or gone on a date in quite a while—weeks, maybe months!”
This revelation comes after she stirred up some dating rumors with Chris Martin back in October when they were spotted on a “secret date.” Turner admitted, “I’m just trying to go on a date.” She also spoke about balancing work and family, mentioning her two daughters, Willa, 5, and Delphine, 3, with ex-husband Joe Jonas.
“But I’m working on it,” she said with a hopeful note. “I’ll get there.”
Reflecting on her late 20s, she expressed a desire for “peace” following a “relatively difficult” phase. Now that she’s entering her 30s, she appears to be looking forward to a change.
“I feel like I’ve been really busy for so long,” Turner stated. “But I don’t think that’s going to continue. I need to calm down a bit and see what happens next,” she added.
Having endured a challenging decade, she noted she has learned to navigate through tough times. Turner began seeing Jonas in 2016 when she was just 20; they got engaged the following year.
The couple tied the knot in Las Vegas in May 2019, then celebrated again in France later that year. Their first child, Willa, arrived in 2020, followed by Delphine in 2022.
After publicly announcing their divorce in 2023, they finalized it in September 2024 after some intense custody discussions.
In November 2023, Turner began dating aristocrat Peregrine “Perry” Pearson, shortly after her relationship with Martin came to light.
There have been whispers about her having sparked a connection with Martin, who is 48, during their dates, but neither party has confirmed anything definitively.
Meanwhile, Joe Jonas has garnered attention for his post-divorce relationships, including with model Stormy Lee and Tatiana Gabriela. In an interview, he mentioned he doesn’t date “a lot” and avoids apps, instead meeting someone through TikTok and Instagram.
