Soros’ son criticized for denouncing the murder of Israelis while supporting anti-Israel organizations

Distant progressive billionaire Alex Soros has faced criticism online for condemning the murder of two Israeli embassy staff while also funding anti-Israel organizations through his Open Society Foundation (OSF).

In a statement following the incident, Soros expressed his outrage over the killings of Sarah Milgrim and Jaron Lisinsky at the Capital Jewish Museum, labeling their murders as “in their most basic form of evil.”

The two Israeli Embassy staff were shot outside the museum in Washington, D.C. on a Wednesday night. The suspect, identified as 30-year-old Elias Rodriguez, was arrested after the shooting. Reports indicate he approached a group that included the victims before opening fire. He later entered the museum and was detained by security while allegedly yelling, “Free, free Palestine!”

In the aftermath, many social media users responded to Soros’s statement by highlighting his funding of organizations promoting anti-Israel sentiment. One commenter noted that the victims’ blood was partially on Soros’s hands due to his financial support for these groups. Another user bluntly stated, “You’re behind hatred, so if you don’t want to hear about the issue from you, sorry.”

Others pointed out Soros’s connections to radical left-wing organizations critical of Israel. The Minister of Israel’s Diaspora Issues remarked that Alex Soros mirrors his father’s anti-Israel stance and doesn’t expect him to become pro-Zionist.

Rodriguez’s affiliations remain ambiguous, but the OSF has been associated with funding several leftist initiatives that have denounced Israel as committing genocide. Critics within Israel have mentioned that elder Soros has been under scrutiny for his financial contributions to NGOs allegedly supporting Hamas.

Overall, this tragic event has ignited a firestorm of discussion around the implications of Soros’s financial actions and their perceived involvement in perpetuating anti-Israel sentiments.
