Sound of Freedom producer ‘Cabrini’ – it gets feminism RIGHT

If you want to know how far Hollywood movies have fallen, look no further than Alejandro Monteverde’s Cabrini, which Glenn Beck calls “one of the most beautiful movies ever made.” [he’s] I’ve seen it till now. ”

Glenn joins Monteverde to talk about the inspiration for the film and why he thinks the story, which is over 100 years old, is so relevant today.

“Cabrini” is the true story of an Italian Catholic immigrant named Francesca Cabrini who arrived in New York City in 1889. In a world where women, especially immigrants, had few opportunities, Cabrini tried to convince the mayor: Providing housing and health care to society’s most vulnerable people.

This is a story of real female power, not the toxic left-wing version that Hollywood likes to push.

“It captures a vibe that I’ve only seen in The Godfather,” Glenn says, adding that the film has “some of the best, the best recommendation. ”

“[Francesca Cabrini] He was a warrior,” Monteverde said. “She came to America as an immigrant in the late 1800s. She was a woman with nothing,” but she had a “dream” and “a great mission to build a hospital and help people in need.” there were.

By the end of her life, she had “built an empire as large as Rockefeller or Vanderbilt.”

However, her path was far from easy. “When she arrived, she faced a lot of racism and discrimination against Italians,” Monteverde tells Glenn.

Cabrini also faced personal battles. “They told her she had two or three years to live. And she kept fighting,” and this unwavering belief in her ultimately gave her “decades of life,” Monteverde said. says.

Whether it was illness, discrimination, or opposition, Cabrini never let anything stop her from succeeding.

“She was able to build bridges” and “work with people who disagreed with her views,” Monteverde explains. “This is very relevant to America because we are in a very divided country right now. [and] Even if we are divided, we can still work together. ”
