South Korea Woman Suffers Cardiac Arrest After Bungee Jumping, Dies On Spot

A woman in South Korea suffered cardiac arrest after falling from a bungee jump and died on the spot.according to independent personThe incident occurred on February 26th. The woman, whose name has not been released, is in her 60s. She fell from an 8-meter-high platform onto a concrete floor after attempting a bungee jump at a sports facility at Starfield Anseong Mall in Gyeonggi Province.

Gyeonggi Southern Regional Police believe that the bungee cord came loose due to a defect in the carabiner cable that connects the rope to the beam or cane. Police are still investigating the incident and further details are expected to emerge ExitPolice are focusing on whether safety measures were taken.

The woman was wearing safety equipment at the time of the incident. However, the carabiner, a type of safety hook, was not secured. She was immediately taken to the hospital where her doctors tried to revive her. Unfortunately for her, she did not survive, and she was pronounced dead an hour after her fall.

The sports facility at Starfield Anseong Mall in Gyeonggi-do offers a variety of experiences such as mountain climbing.

Meanwhile, in December last year, a Japanese tourist died in China after jumping off the world’s highest bungee jump. The tourist lost consciousness and died just a few hours later. The 56-year-old jumped 764 feet from the Macau Tower in Macau City, leaving him short of breath.

In 2019, a man in Poland broke his harness while bungee jumping 330 feet and fell to the ground. The fall left the 39-year-old with a spinal injury. The accident occurred at a theme park in Gdynia. Harrowing footage of the incident showed the man jumping from the platform before the bungee rope snapped and he crashed to the ground.
