Space Force Col. Susannah Meyers Dismissed Following Controversial Email Regarding JD Vance’s Greenland Visit

The officer responsible for the base of the US Space Force in Greenland was taken from her command after sending a ton of emails that distanced her from Vice President JD Vance and the Trump administration's statements.

Space Force announced Thursday evening that Colonel Susanna Myers had been removed as Pitafik Space Station leader “due to loss of trust in her ability to lead.”

“Commanders are expected to comply with the highest standards of conduct, especially as they are related to remaining independent in the performance of their duties,” a statement from Space Operations Command read.

“President Trump has a wealth of clarity in his vision for the Arctic's enhanced security footprint, and the Vice President is committed to implementing the president's agenda, including strengthening partnerships and cooperation between the US and Greenland.

With the announcement, members of the Senate Armed Services Committee celebrated Myers' removal in a series of X-statements, celebrating the DOD when Senators Jim Banks (R-Ind.), Eric Schmidt (R-Mo.) and Tommy Tuberville (R-Ala.) released her.

Additionally, Vance denounced Denmark during his trip for “not doing a good job by the people of Greenland” and called for Copenhagen to not invest more in the “security architecture” of the world's largest island.
