Los Angeles Sparks rookie Cameron Brink suffered an apparent leg injury in the first quarter of Tuesday’s game against the Sun but was helped to the locker room.
Brink was driving toward Suns center Breonna Jones, who fell to the floor with a non-contact injury.
Brink was the second overall pick in the WNBA draft after starring at Stanford University.
She is averaging 8.1 points and 5.7 rebounds per game and is a good defensive player.
Earlier this week, WNBA veteran Diana Taurasi, who is notorious for her rookie player evaluations, had high praise for Brink. In an interview with Uproxx.
“She’s the best. That girl has the biggest smile. She has energy. When you’re with her, there’s this ‘it’ factor. There’s nothing better than people not taking themselves seriously, especially when you’re such an amazing person,” Taurasi said.
“There’s nothing better than that. That’s the best quality. Never take yourself too seriously.”

If healthy, Brink will compete in the Olympic 3-on-3 event as part of the U.S. team along with teammates Sierra Burdick, Rhyne Howard and Haley Van Lith.
Brink said he was overwhelmed with emotion when he was named to the national team earlier this month.
“It really doesn’t seem real. I never expected any of this but I’ve worked so hard for this and I love the coaching staff, the committee and everyone and I can’t thank them enough,” Brink said.
