Los Angeles Sparks rookie Cameron Brink left Tuesday night’s game against the Connecticut Sun with a gruesome knee injury.
Brink was driving to the basket in the first quarter when he slipped and hurt his knee, had to be helped off the court and limped to the locker room before being helped again.

“Cam has a knee injury and will be evaluated tomorrow,” Sparks head coach Kurt Miller said after the game.
Brink played just four minutes in Los Angeles’ 79-70 loss to Connecticut.
The Stanford star was the No. 2 pick in the 2024 WNBA Draft. She entered the game averaging 8.1 points, 5.7 rebounds and 2.5 blocks. She was tied with Las Vegas Aces star A’ja Wilson for the second-most blocks in the league.
Brink was also selected for the U.S. 3×3 team for the Paris Olympics.

“Every year that I’ve been a head coach in this league, except for 2019, we’ve lost a starter to injury,” Miller said. “We just have to have that next man up mentality and stick together.”

Los Angeles is 4-11 this season.
In the losing effort, Aari McDonald led the Sparks with 14 points and seven assists.

Every Suns starter scored in double figures, including DeWanna Bonner who led the team with 16 points and seven rebounds.
