House Oversight Committee Chairman James Kommer (R-KY) explained many obstacles to the Biden family's successful research in an exclusive interview with the Breitbart Fight Club Roundtable Sunday.

“I'll be criticized by many good conservatives because Bidens couldn't be put in prison. [but] All I can do is research,” Comer laid out. “We explained in the book that we were investigating, but to prevent police officers from sending someone to prison. [Congress has] Passes the Department of Justice. ”
“Unfortunately, that was the case [Attorney General] Merrick Garland's Department of Justice, and he wasn't interested in the truth,” he continued.
The wheels of justice move slowly, and Congressional investigators are always working against the clock. Comer said the week-later “unnecessary drama” that selected McCarthy at the beginning of the 118th Congress, but subsequent changes to mid-speakers also hindered his investigation.
“It took me a week to select the speakers. [in January]He explained. “But by that point we have already been over a month behind, and everything that normally takes place during the lame duck period leading up to a new term in Congress is after the speaker is selected. It had to be done.”
The House Republican Congress officially nominated McCarthy by majority vote shortly after the election in November 2022, but uncertainty about McCarthy's ability to win on the floor maintained a congressional investigation and other plans for the new Congress.
“Usually, meetings selected speakers in November before being sworn in January,” Comer explained. “But once the speaker was selected, they had to approve the budget and the speaker had to hire staff when there were no speakers. You know, that wasn't met. It will bring us backwards.”
Congress then lost almost the entire month of October 2023, and after a successful claim for vacancy against McCarthy, new speaker Mike Johnson (R-LA) must hire his staff. That was it.
“It was another three and a half weeks, but he had to take the staff,” Comer detailed. “And I remember finally meeting Mike Johnson's new lawyer. They said, “I know we're investigating Biden about something, but I really didn't know what. Hmm,” I fell out of my chair. ”
Comer added that the political reality of Congress can create additional challenges that career bureaucrats don't face.
“It's great when you put all the fire brands on every committee, but sometimes it's difficult when you have a committee hearing. They want to put their sound bats in, and that's what “It's a normal investigation by the FBI is a lot of obstacles to not having to go through,” he explained. “And I think this book goes into detail about it and answers many questions about the fact that many annoyed conservatives don't look like that.”
Comer later praised President Donald Trump, Attorney General Pam Bondy and FBI Director Kash Patel, sharing his hopes that those involved in covering up the Biden family crimes will be brought to trial.
