Mr. Xu’s bombshell report revealed Mr. Biden’s severe memory problems, exacerbating voters’ long-standing concerns about the president’s age. Axios reported Thursday that Xu’s testimony is scheduled for early March and is likely before the House Judiciary Committee.
Republican lawmakers will focus on various examples of Biden’s unreliable memory included in the report. Mr. Hoar described Mr. Biden as a “sympathetic, well-meaning, older man with a poor memory.” He also said Biden doesn’t remember the year his son Beau died or the year he served as vice president.
The testimony will also give Mr. Xu an opportunity to clear up questions that arose after the report was released. For example, Mr. Biden suggested that Mr. Xu’s team asked him directly about Mr. Bo’s death after the report was released.
