Tommy Lazzaro, a special forces member and former Central Michigan University quarterback, died at the age of 27 after being hit by a stray bullet from a hunter while “driving to a shooting range to help a fellow soldier who was having car trouble.” It is reported that he did.
TMZ announced his death December 26th.
tasks and objectives noticed Lazaro was a special forces soldier with the 7th Special Forces Group (Airborne). He was at Elgin Air Force Base on Dec. 22 when he was shot. The bullet that killed him was “fired by a hunter who was shooting in the Eglin Mountains, a popular hunting area.”
Lazarus Special Forces Commander Col. Patrick Nelson said: Thomas Lazarus…we will never forget his dedication, courage, and commitment to defending our freedoms. ”
wilkes pointed out Elgin Air Force Base is located in Walton County, Florida, and the county's sheriff said the death appeared to be the result of a “hunting accident.”
A “celebration of life” for Mr. Lazarus will be held at 11 a.m. Dec. 28 at Emerald Coast Funeral Home in Fort Walton Beach.
