Speediance introduces Gym Monster 3, Ultra, and Nano at IFA 2026

IFA Berlin 2026 recently concluded, and I noticed there was always a buzz around Speediance’s latest fitness equipment whenever I passed by.

This new approach to fitness is incredibly interconnected, genuinely driven by AI, and remarkably sleek.

With a U.S. launch event scheduled for later this month, Speediance utilized the Berlin event to showcase its growth.

In just two years, the brand transformed from offering a single standout product, the Gym Monster 2, to an AI-driven fitness company with a diverse range of products tailored for various users and training settings.

At the heart of this range is the Gym Monster 3. It’s poised to advance this market significantly.

However, the real highlight at IFA was how the Gym Monster 3, Gym Monster Ultra, and Gym Nano function together within an expanding ecosystem—rather than just presenting a collection of products, they’re all connected through AI.

What is the Speediance Gym Monster 3?

The Speediance Gym Monster 3 caught a lot of attention, with many stopping to capture content of it in the fitness tech area. I admit, I too spent quite a bit of time observing it, especially since I’m soon moving back into a smaller apartment.

This machine serves as an all-in-one home strength platform, featuring professional-level hardware in a freestanding, foldable design that requires about 2.5 feet by 4 feet of space when unfolded—roughly the size of a standard coffee table. When folded, it’s about the size of an end table.

If you’ve ever tried to set up a home gym in anything other than a spacious basement, you know that compactness is crucial. But then again, the specifications are certainly impressive:

  • Digital resistance up to 220 pounds, adjustable in one-pound increments, eliminating estimation for progress tracking.
  • Four training modes: Standard, Eccentric, Chain, and Fixed Speed, with the Eccentric mode truly standing out.
  • A nearly 24-inch touchscreen with an AI coach that evaluates your movement in three dimensions, in real time.
  • No assembly required. It is ready to use out of the box with no installation or mounting needed.

Rather than simply playing generic workout videos, the AI monitors your baseline, customizes your routine, and adjusts the weight during reps if it detects you’re struggling. I saw it firsthand.

This integration is what makes the Gym Monster 3 so compelling: the large display, real-time movement feedback, and adaptive resistance combine to create a coaching experience where the technology feels like a core component of the workout, not just an added feature.

Who is the Gym Monster Ultra for?

The Gym Monster Ultra targets advanced lifters who seek premium machinery and won’t settle for anything less than top-notch mechanics.

This model boosts digital resistance from 220 to 260 pounds, though the figure isn’t the main selling point—it’s all about the structure.

It includes a multi-grip pull-up station and a genuine vertical high-lat pulldown with a dedicated thigh restraint. This isn’t a light-duty machine; it’s serious equipment.

With nine training stations and a platform that’s 64% larger for split-stance exercises, it remains freestanding and can fold down to a footprint similar to that of a washing machine, about 2.5 by 2.5 feet.

“It looks like a small monster, but it performs like a giant monster,”

Hongbo Wei, Speediance’s head of brand and global operations

Gym Nano and the broader ecosystem

The Gym Nano exemplifies Speediance’s ambition to extend beyond a single flagship model or training space.

True to its name, the Gym Nano is tailored for hybrid athletes and traveling coaches but is also suitable for anyone short on space.

This device is smaller than a rolled-up yoga mat and weighs only 18 pounds. For that weight and size, you gain up to 220 pounds of direct-drive resistance, a cable just under 17 feet long, and speeds reaching 21 feet per second for sprinting, jumping, or sled-style exercises.

Plus, it can easily attach to any standard rack in seconds, transforming any garage or hotel gym into a velocity-based training area.

“It looks like a small monster, but it performs like a giant monster,” Wei remarked, highlighting its versatile capabilities for trainers and therapists.

The Gym Nano is positioned to serve those working out at home as well as professionals in training environments, making it a versatile option.

From one smart gym to an AI-powered fitness ecosystem

Wei emphasizes that Speediance is no longer just about the product that made it famous.

“Two years ago, we only offered the Gym Monster 2,” he reflected. “Now, we’re expanding beyond just a smart home gym.”

This evolution isn’t merely about introducing more equipment. AI creates connections between the devices, the user’s training history, and personalized guidance in a continuous improvement loop.

Each product meets specific training needs, while the AI helps analyze previous workouts and suggests what’s next.

Viewed this way, the Gym Monster 3, Gym Monster Ultra, and Gym Nano aren’t just standalone hardware; they act as various entry points into the same integrated system—ranging from immersive at-home coaching to uncompromising strength training and portable solutions for professionals.

This change is what Wei wants the market to notice. Speediance’s first chapter was about demonstrating how one intelligent machine could redefine strength training at home. The next step is building a comprehensive AI-driven portfolio that personalizes and connects the training experience, regardless of the setting.

The Gym Monster 3 might have impressed me the most during my time at IFA 2026, but the surrounding ecosystem could prove to be even more significant.
