Spencer Pratt responded with applause after Jimmy Kimmel mocked him for losing the Los Angeles mayoral election.
In his monologue on Tuesday night, Kimmel poked fun at assertions about the election being “rigged” and recalled Pratt’s earlier remarks stating he’d leave the city if he lost.
“We know times are tough, especially now that donations from out-of-state have dwindled,” Kimmel jested. “Moving can be costly, so our team rented a U-Haul for you. We’ve been decorating all day for your big exit, and believe me, people will notice when you go.”
Kimmel shared an image showing Pratt, looking emotional, with “Just Defeated” on the side of his U-Haul.
Pratt, in a response posted on Twitter the following morning, indicated his emotional state by sharing a video of his damaged Pacific Palisades home. “Jimmy Kimmel, I think you missed part of the situation, but honestly, I don’t need a U-Haul… I don’t have any luggage left,” he tweeted.
Earlier this week, Pratt had a high-profile and ultimately unsuccessful campaign for mayor of Los Angeles. Despite performing better than expected, he ended up in third place, missing the chance to compete in a November runoff against Mayor Karen Bass.
Once he realized his mayoral dreams were dashed, Pratt shared a cryptic post featuring a serene image of a duck floating on calm water during sunset. This email-like hint stirred conversations among supporters questioning the election’s legitimacy and the future of his political ambitions.
While he hasn’t clarified the intent behind his duck post, comments from followers included thoughts like “Duck sitting,” or “Water off a duck’s back,” paired with folded hands emojis, suggesting a mix of resilience and humor.
Pratt’s reply to Kimmel remains the latest engagement followers have seen from him on social media, leaving some wondering about the next steps for the reality star.
