Spike Lee, Knicks fans go wild after Game 5 rout of Pacers

Knicks fans couldn’t help but show pure joy after their team won Game 5 on Tuesday night, including Spike Lee who shouted “Knicks in Six” and fans This included occupying the street outside Madison Square Garden.

It mirrored a scene seen throughout the playoffs, with fans going wild after the Knicks defeated the Pacers 121-91 in a best-of-seven second-round series, giving the Knicks a 3-2 lead.

As fans poured onto Seventh Avenue, chants of “We want Boston!” went up. The voice was clearly heard by a large force dressed in blue and orange.

In another clip, Lee, a Knicks superfan and famous manager, rouses the crowd as he exits the Garden.

“Knicks in 6!” Lee yelled as he exited the building and emerged to fellow fans lining up behind a security barrier and high-fiving.

The atmosphere outside MSG could easily be described as enthusiastic, with Knicks fans reveling in victory and asserting their complete confidence in their team heading into Game 6.

“I’m not worried about Game 5 at all!” one fan exclaimed to The Post’s Brandon London. “Because the Knicks are the best team in America!”

Another fan said: “We’re going to play our hardest and we’re going to give it our all on every play.” “We play with heart. [The Pacers] Don’t play with their hearts. They play for fame and money. We play for the heart. We play for culture. We welcome Josh Hart. We have Jalen Brunson. ”

The fan added, “I don’t know what else to say, brother, the Knicks just won 6 games.”

Brunson scored a game-high 44 points for the Knicks on 18-of-35 shooting, while Hart finished the night with 18 points and 11 rebounds on 43.8 percent shooting from the field.

Alec Burks also scored 18 points in the Knicks’ win, and Isaiah Hartenstein had a game-high 17 rebounds against Indiana and tied the Knicks’ playoff record with 12 offensive boards.

With a win on Friday, the Knicks will advance to the Eastern Conference Finals for the first time since 2000.
