Residents of Springfield, Ohio, expressed serious concerns about crime and the influx of immigrants at a town hall meeting with Vivek Ramaswami on Thursday.
“There are so many immigrants in this town, and they are so heavily subsidised. People are being forced out of their homes, they are losing their jobs,” one resident said. said Inside the city hall.

One resident recounted a story of how a man chased his daughter with a machete, but police failed to respond quickly enough.
“My daughter was on her way to work when a man with a machete chased her,” her mother recalled.[She] “She called the police. She told them what happened and said she wanted to file a report. Two hours later, the police still hadn't called her or investigated the crime.”
