Springsteen joins anti-ICE movement

Springsteen joins anti-ICE movement

We’re still holding our breath for Bruce Springsteen to pen a song about Laken Riley, a student nurse tragically killed by an illegal immigrant. Oddly enough, we also haven’t seen a powerful anthem emerge regarding the Iranians who were brutally oppressed for simply yearning for freedom.

For now, we have another celebrity, with a new song that feels like yet another anti-ICE protest anthem, which seems all too common these days.

“Coming in 2027, it’s the reboot nobody asked for,” Jimmy Kimmel is set to star in “The Woman Show,” featuring the cast of “The View.”

“There were bloody footprints where mercy should reside, and two bodies left in the snowy streets: Alex Preti and Renee Good.”

On a brighter note, the average ticket price for a Springsteen concert is so escalating that many might not even get to hear the entirety of his songs…

L.A.’s Declining Safety

“Escape from LA” was not the best sequel to “Escape from New York.” Yet, both narratives feel surprisingly plausible nowadays.

Even prior to New York City’s election of Zoran Mamdani as the new mayor, the residents had already begun to depart in droves. The promise of soaring taxes on the wealthy from Democratic Socialists isn’t helping either.

“That’s a bold strategy, Mr. Mayor. Let’s see how that pans out for you!”

Meanwhile, Hollywood’s allure is fading as more stars are opting to leave Los Angeles, distressed by the deteriorating living conditions.

Comedian Dana Carvey touched on this sentiment during his appearance on Bill Maher’s podcast, and now Joe Manganiello has joined the fray, leaving L.A. due to safety concerns, emphasizing, “Crime is at an all-time high here,” according to actress Caitlin O’Connor. She also noted that the declining film and television productions are making it feel even less appealing to call Los Angeles home.

If Hollywood were to remarry “Escape from LA” and film it in Vancouver, the backlash would be loud…

Ethan Hawke

Ethan Hawke continues to shine as an actor. His diverse roles over the years say a lot about his talent. Recently nominated for Best Actor for the film Blue Moon, he’s staying relevant in a tough industry.

He seems fearless, saying publicly, “I’ve never been hesitant about speaking my mind until now. There’s a strange tension in the air I haven’t felt before, and it feels different from America.”

He expressed these thoughts during a public event, and while nothing significant may come of it, it’s likely to endear him to certain peers.

Jimmy Kimmel’s Meltdown

Someone should get Jimmy a Gatorade!

Earlier this week, Kimmel engaged in some on-air plumbing, slamming Trump and ICE melodramatically, and, well, he shed a few tears while doing so.

Twice.

The upcoming reboot that seems unnecessary is poised for a 2027 release.

Colbert’s Future

So, Stephen, what’s next?

The soon-to-be-former host of “The Late Show” appeared on “Late Night with Seth Meyers” recently, touching on his exit from late-night television.

Interestingly, he mentioned missing out on “forcing the CBS audience to clap.”

“It’s starting to feel real,” he remarked, “and I can’t say I’m thrilled about it.”

While he might be hurting, it’s likely that many who grew up watching Letterman, Carson, and Leno won’t be too upset to see him go.

An Unlikely Alliance

Now this is an interesting pairing.

Nicki Minaj has openly supported President Trump. The two met recently to promote a tax-advantaged investment account program. Minaj raised eyebrows when she drew attention to the persecution of Christians in Nigeria due to their beliefs.

She’s officially on Team Trump now.

“The hatred directed at me only fuels my support,” she declared.

Looks like she’s about to find even more motivation.
