“The Squad” Democratic Rep. Cori Bush, D-Missouri; Representative Rashida Tlaib, Democrat of Michigan. Only two members of Congress voted against the bill banning Hamas terrorists from entering the United States.

The bill, HR 6679, also known as the No Immigration Benefits for Hamas Terrorists Act, expanded the US ban on the Palestine Liberation Organization (PLO). Officers include all PLO members.

The bill, introduced by Rep. Tom McClintock (R-Pennsylvania), would also ban Hamas members and other participants in the October 7 attacks from entering the United States.

The bill states that any person who “participated in, planned, financed, provided material support for, or otherwise facilitated” the October 7 attack on Israel or any subsequent attack would be “eligible for any relief under immigration law.” It stipulates that “they shall not have any.”

Mr. Bush and Mr. Tlaib voted against the bill, but Rep. Delia Ramirez, D-Ill., voted present.

Rep. Ramirez said he voted present because “the political game is over.”

“The political game is over, so I cast my vote,” Ramirez said. “The majority is wasting time introducing a bill that is already law. Immigration benefits for Hamas terrorists no longer exist.

“After participating in 15 hours of fake impeachment, I can’t stand another bill introduced solely to score cheap political points, politicize immigration, and divide communities. Similar to the Republicans’ fake impeachment. “This bill does not meaningfully address border security or further strengthen border security. HR6679 is unnecessary,” Ramirez said. “It’s a waste of resources and time. And I’m not supportive of it.”

Mr. Tlaib and Mr. Bush are among a small but vocal number of Democrats criticizing Israel over the ongoing conflict.

Traib was among them. He was the first to criticize Israel for the now-discredited claim that Israel bombed hospitals in the Gaza Strip, killing about 500 people.

U.S. intelligence agencies said the explosion was caused by a rocket fired by Gaza militants that failed.
