The St. John's Star RJ Lewis Jr.'s Instagram page was scrubbed following the team's second round ouster to Arkansas in the NCAA Tournament as online trolls appear to be targeting the 6-foot-7 guard on Saturday's poor show.
Big East Player of the Year, Lewis wrote a horrifying performance in 32 rounds, and in the final minutes of a 75-66 loss, he went 0-3 on a 3-3-point attempt from the field before coach Rick Pitino got him on the bench.
The College Junior Instagram page is not available as of Monday afternoon, indicating that the platform “maybe the link is broken or the profile may have been deleted.”
Lewis' fans I've criticized them since then “Attacking Young Man with a Bet” including WFAN's Brandon Tierney.
“To hear RJ Lewis' social media flooded is a sad state of such hatred/negativeness as to where we are/who we became. Do you stake a young man and attack him?”
“He is an absolute human gem. Everything you want from your son is a caring/engaged family. Some people are truly evil.”
The Garden Rumble, a fan account of St. John, I also posted a screenshot We called for the first time in deactivated Instagram page since Luis' and the “nasty” behavior that Trolls demonstrated.
“RJ Luis Jr. has deleted his Instagram due to overwhelming harassment from a degenerate gambler and miserable freak who didn't watch a single second of college basketball until this week. I hate this S-T.” Submitted account Early on Monday.
Instagram deactivation comes soon NCAA's Draw the Line initiativepleaded the bettors not to harass the athletes if they lost.
