St. Louis Neighbors Praise 14-Year-Old’s Barbecue Stand

A 14-year-old high school freshman from St. Louis, Missouri is showing others that with hard work and determination, dreams are within reach.

Jemari Craigs loves barbecue so much that she started her own business feeding her neighbors on the streets in the north part of town. And the community loves it, Fox 2 Now report Saturday.

Craigs’ mother and grandmother help him during work hours as the young man tries to raise enough money to buy a food truck, which he hopes will become his dream restaurant someday. It is called the body.

he said: “Watching my dad bake, we used to sell plates here a lot. I had a family member who sold from a food truck. They did barbecue. is what I wanted to do.”

Craigs loves what he does, but he also hopes others will see it and get similar ideas.

“Because here people are looking at me. They know I’m only 14 years old. It’s probably like any other 14-year-old going out and doing something like this. It has the potential to inspire and maybe they can do good things like me,” he commented.
