Stabbing suspect in Paris reportedly shouts Islamic phrase after assault

German police searching for suspect in Berlin Pride attack

Berlin police are currently looking for a 21-year-old named Abdul B., identified as a suspect in a deadly van attack during the German Pride Festival. Tragically, one person lost their life, and 16 others were hurt when a van veered into a crowd close to the parade route. Authorities are also examining further reports of stabbings linked to this incident, with some noting potential connections to Islamic groups.

In a related incident, a man, age 31, was seen on the ground after allegedly stabbing three women in Paris. One of the victims was reportedly pregnant. Eyewitness accounts describe the scene as “horrifying,” with claims that the suspect shouted “Allahu Akbar” during the attack. Reports indicated that the suspect, who has not yet been named, was arrested after the incident.

A police source mentioned that the attacker was described as having an “unbalanced” profile and translated his declaration as, “It is Allah who commanded me.” While several observers rushed to connect this to Islamic terrorism, French Interior Minister Laurent Nuñez cautioned against jumping to conclusions, highlighting the suspect’s “incoherent statements” and the need for caution regarding the motives.

Amid all this, a woman, grieving, stated that the suspect had attacked her daughter at the Two Dome brewery in Porte de Clichy. Witnesses claim the suspect was armed with knives in both hands.

Additionally, there are reports of another tragedy near London where a man was stabbed to death, stirring further concerns about violence. This incident happened shortly after the van attack in Berlin, where one person was confirmed dead and 29 others injured. The attacker, later killed by police, was noted to be a German citizen of Lebanese descent, leading authorities to consider whether this incident might reflect actions by Islamic extremists.

These violent occurrences come in the wake of broader discussions regarding security and immigration in Europe, especially in light of a recent national security strategy released by the White House, which raised alarms about possible threats related to mass migration and demographic shifting in European nations.

The immigration status of the suspects involved in these attacks hasn’t been detailed yet. There’s an increasing scrutiny about the implications of these incidents, as various studies have pointed to the potential costs and societal impacts of immigration in several European countries.
