Adrian Hauser, who plays with a changeup and slider with a different grip, allowed four hits and three runs in 1 2/3 innings. The starter didn’t seem concerned, saying, “Obviously the result, but I’m really satisfied with my mood and finish today.”

It caught my eye

On days off, Francisco Lindor stood next to Carlos Mendoza in the dugout and talked with the manager throughout the game. Lindor’s leadership was on display during camp.
