On Thursday, several well-known celebrities and FOX personalities put on hard hats to assist in rebuilding homes that were damaged during the Palisades wildfires.
This initiative is part of a four-day community effort organized by Habitat for Humanity Los Angeles, involving actors, reality TV stars, celebrity chefs, and various VIPs who have come together to aid those affected by the devastating wildfires in Pacific Palisades and Malibu that occurred in January 2025.
Notable figures like actresses Bellamy Young and Betzaida Landin, actor Joshua Jackson, TV host Melissa Rivers, and even the famous boxer Sugar Ray Leonard participated in the event.
The volunteers, along with hundreds of others, worked together to support wildfire survivors who had lost their homes due to the catastrophic fire.
Leadership from major film studios, including Paramount, Universal Pictures, and Warner Bros. Discovery, was also present during the event.
Photos from the gathering captured the celebrities enjoying themselves as they helped construct framing walls for new homes.
A press release explained, “This multi-day effort brings together community members, builders, and corporate partners to begin framing new homes, complete the final touches on another, provide critical repairs to smoke-damaged homes and revitalize impacted community spaces.”
According to the release, over 500 volunteers, which included wildfire survivors and local residents, joined forces with corporate, civic, and community organizations to assist residents in their journey back home.
The wildfires in 2025 destroyed nearly 7,000 structures, displacing thousands of families in the Los Angeles area. This project aims to support those who face financial challenges in rebuilding their homes.
Currently, nearly 1,000 homes are being constructed in the aftermath of the wildfires that scorched more than 23,000 acres.
Since the Northridge earthquake in 1994, the nonprofit organization has been dedicated to helping rebuild homes affected by natural disasters, as stated in the press announcement.
“Habitat LA is here to help restore stability and hope for those impacted by disasters, prioritizing support for low-income households that are uninsured, underinsured—those that are the most vulnerable,” it read.
Furthermore, in addition to the rebuilding efforts, Samsung announced that it would fully furnish a home with appliances and consumer electronics. The company is collaborating with the organization to distribute $1 million worth of appliances to wildfire survivors.
