Statement from Baloch Rebels Regarding Recent Attacks

Islamabad:

The Baloch Liberation Army (BLA) has claimed responsibility for 71 “coordinated attacks” during the recent “Operation Haroof,” targeting over 51 locations in Balochistan, Pakistan in recent weeks. In a statement published on Sunday, the BLA urged the global community to recognize Pakistan as a state supporting terrorism, calling it a “breeding ground” for terrorist activities worldwide.

According to the statement, significant attacks were carried out in various regions, including Kech, Panjgur, Mastung, Quetta, Zamuran, Tolangi, Kuluki, and Nushki. They indicated that strategies involved ambushes, IED explosions, sniper fire, targeted killings of Pakistani forces, and even the seizure of security personnel.

The BLA warned of regional changes, stating that “a new order is inevitable” in South Asia. They cautioned that continued international tolerance of Pakistan’s actions could lead to increased regional instability, urging India and other nations to take firm action against Pakistan or risk further violence.

“If Pakistan continues to be tolerated, its very existence could lead to the destruction of the whole world,” asserted a BLA representative. The statement reflected a belief that Pakistan plays a central role in fostering state-sponsored terrorist groups like Lashkar-e-Taiba and Jaish-e-Mohammad.

The BLA also denied being affiliated with any state, reaffirming its independent pursuit of freedom for Balochistan. “We are not a pawn; we are a dynamic and decisive force,” stated spokesman Jeeyand Baloch.

What is BLA?

The Baloch Liberation Army is the primary armed organization advocating for the self-determination of the Baloch people. Since Balochistan’s incorporation into Pakistan in 1948, there has been a significant disconnect between the Baloch and the Islamabad government, which they accuse of exploiting their resources while failing to address their interests and fostering systemic violence through state-sponsored actions and forced displacement.
