Steelers' Cameron Heyward accuses Josh Allen

Pittsburgh Steelers vs. Buffalo Bills Recap

During a Week 13 matchup on Sunday night, Steelers defensive lineman Cameron Heyward had a notable collision with Buffalo Bills quarterback Josh Allen. The two had a tense moment after Allen threw a touchdown pass to Keon Coleman, which resulted in Heyward receiving a penalty for unsportsmanlike conduct. In the end, Buffalo secured a solid victory, winning 26-7.

Heyward later commented on the incident, suggesting that Allen had deliberately kneed him in the stomach. He expressed some frustration, noting, “I felt bad the whole game because as a quarterback they’re protected and I’m not protected. That’s really unfortunate. … Afterwards he even said, ‘I had to do something to take you away from me.'” Interestingly, Allen had finished his press interaction before Heyward began his, so there was no opportunity for the quarterback to address their exchange.

In terms of performance, Allen made a significant mark by scoring a rushing touchdown, setting a new record for the most rushing touchdowns by a quarterback—his 76th career touchdown on the ground, surpassing Cam Newton in the process. He completed 15 of 23 passes for 123 yards while also contributing 38 rushing yards. The rushing game was particularly strong, with James Cook III leading the Bills’ attack, racking up 144 yards on 32 carries. Collectively, Buffalo amassed an impressive 249 rushing yards against the Steelers.

For his part, Heyward showcased his abilities with eight tackles throughout the game. The showdown concluded with the Bills improving their record to 8-4, while the Steelers fell to 6-6.
