Pittsburgh Steelers Make History in Dublin
The Pittsburgh Steelers had a thrilling first half against the Minnesota Vikings on Sunday, marking a historic moment in NFL history as they played their inaugural regular season game in Dublin, Ireland.
The Steelers’ defense came out strong, putting pressure on Vikings quarterback Carson Wentz. In the second quarter, Wentz threw an interception to Steelers defensive back DeShon Elliott. Elliott dashed to the end zone and celebrated with his teammates.
In a light-hearted moment, Elliott tried his hand at some traditional Irish dance moves after the pick. This interception marked his first of the season and came in just his second game back after a previous victory over the New York Jets in Week 1, where he recorded six tackles.
The Steelers and Vikings were both vying for their third win of the season, with the Steelers leading at halftime 14-6. Wentz had a tough outing, completing only 1 of 16 attempts for 154 yards, alongside two sacks and the interception. On the other hand, Steelers quarterback Aaron Rodgers completed 14 passes for 165 yards and threw a touchdown pass to DK Metcalf, who racked up four catches for 122 yards by the break.
The atmosphere was electric, and both teams gave it their all, making this game a memorable chapter in NFL history.
