A complaint has been lodged against Stefon Diggs, a star player for the Patriots, containing allegations of sexual assault, assault, conspiracy, intentional emotional distress, and defamation.
Christopher Blake Griffith, an influencer and stylist, claims that Diggs drugged and made an attempt at sexual assault at Diggs’ Maryland home on May 22, 2023, and that Diggs subsequently conspired against him, stating that Diggs hired him for fashion brand promotion and design.
The allegations were first made public by Griffith on Instagram in August, prompting Diggs to file a defamation lawsuit asserting that Griffith’s story was fabricated. In response, Griffith filed a counterclaim in Maryland federal court on Friday.
“Chris Griffith is eager to express his truth and seeks justice for the sexual and physical assaults he endured,” said his attorney, Jake Lebowitz, in a statement.
In the complaint, Griffith alleges that Diggs “deliberately administered drugs” and engaged in unwanted sexual advances, including “exposing his genitals” and trying to kiss him. He claimed that Diggs forced a kiss that felt abusive, and a week later, he alleged an attack by three members of Diggs’ entourage, including his brother.
Initially, on Instagram, Griffith expressed his disgust at UGG for hiring Diggs as the face of a campaign and tagged both UGG and Sarah Jessica Parker, who appeared alongside Diggs.
According to Diggs, after participating in a charity basketball game in Washington, D.C., he went to a club with Griffith and other influencers, eventually returning to his home. Diggs claimed that he went to his bedroom and that his assistant then asked Griffith to leave.
The case is seeking damages and attorney fees from Diggs.
Lebowitz remarked that Griffith looks forward to demonstrating in court that, contrary to what Diggs’ lawyer presents, he is indeed a victim of unwanted advances and violent actions by Diggs and his brother.
Recently, Diggs welcomed a baby with his girlfriend, rapper Cardi B, while also being a father to two daughters named Nova and Charlie from previous relationships.
In September, a woman named Eileen Lopera filed a paternity claim against Diggs regarding Charlie, and subsequent testing confirmed Diggs as the father.
