Stefon Diggs is aware that many are curious about the pink substances seen with women in a recent boat party video. However, the new receiver for the Patriots isn’t spilling much about it.
“I want to be as clear as I can, but sometimes I prefer not to discuss my personal life,” Diggs mentioned during a press conference at the Patriots Mini Camp. He pointed out a conversation he had with Mike Vrabel, who emphasized the importance of making sound decisions, and mentioned discussions held within the team. Yet, he kept the specifics somewhat vague, stating that some details remain internal.
In response to inquiries about the bag with the pink substance, Diggs was evasive. The 31-year-old, who recently signed a lucrative three-year, $63.5 million contract with New England, became a viral sensation after footage of him giving the substances to several women surfaced online. It was also reported that his girlfriend, Cardi B, was on the same boat.
As he handed over the items, Diggs notably said, “Don’t take it all,” which only fueled further speculation.
After the video became public, there’s been talk about whether Diggs’s role on the team could be at risk, though it seems the Patriots haven’t taken any disciplinary action yet. Coach Mike Vrabel addressed the situation during practice recently, affirming the need for good decision-making both on and off the field.
On a personal note, following the video’s release, Diggs and Cardi B confirmed their relationship on Instagram, generating even more buzz.
Diggs, a four-time Pro Bowler, had mixed fortunes last season, playing just eight games for the Texans after being traded from the Bills. Unfortunately, he had to miss the rest of the season due to an ACL injury. Over his decade-long career, he has racked up impressive stats, including 10,491 yards and 70 touchdowns, having originally made his mark with the Vikings.
