Stellantis is pursuing Ford by providing employee discounts to the public this month, coinciding with President Donald Trump’s newly implemented auto rates.
Beginning Friday, Stellantis, which encompasses brands like Jeep, Ram, and Chrysler, will extend its employee purchase program to the public for most new models.
“This week we’ve introduced active and ongoing incentives and marketing support for April, featuring compelling enhancements that give customers the freedom to choose between employee pricing or existing cash incentives,” Stellantis informed Fox Business.
The initiative will be available until April 30th.
The automaker specified that the initiative includes popular models like Jeep Wrangler SUVs and RAM Light Duty Pickup trucks, though customers may opt for other promotions available in April.
This offer was initiated following the launch of a spring campaign dubbed “America, for America,” which enables consumers to take advantage of pricing equivalent to Ford’s employee deals through June 2nd, falling below the dealer’s invoice price.
Customers can benefit from savings on 2024 and 2025 hybrid, plug-in hybrid, diesel, gas-powered Ford and Lincoln vehicles, excluding the 2025 Expedition and Navigator SUV, Raptor, and Super Duty Truck.
The announcement also stated that customers purchasing electric vehicles through Ford’s Power Promise will receive complimentary home chargers and standard installation until June 30th.
“We recognize that these times may be challenging for many Americans. Whether you’re adapting to economic changes or simply seeking a dependable vehicle for your family, we aim to assist,” Ford expressed in a statement.
The company indicated that recently imposed car rates impact sedans, SUVs, crossovers, minivans, cargo vans, and light trucks.
It also affects essential automotive components such as engines, transmissions, powertrain parts, and electrical parts, but there is a “process to broaden tariffs on additional parts as required.”
