Stellantis Teams Up with Ford to Unveil Exclusive Employee Discounts for Everyone!

Stellantis, the multinational automotive company, announced on Friday that it will start providing employee discounts to the public in response to the effects of President Trump’s new tariffs.

This initiative follows a similar promotion launched by Ford Motor Company earlier this week. Auto tariffs took effect on April 3, the day after Trump revealed significant taxes targeting nearly all trading partners of the United States.

A representative from Stellantis informed The Hill that this new initiative, titled “America’s Freedom of Choice,” will allow customers to buy vehicles at “employee pricing or available cash incentives.”

“We advise our customers to engage with local dealers to find the most suitable offers for them,” the spokesperson added.

This initiative is available until April 30th.

These new actions by Stellantis follow last month’s decision to halt production at its Canadian and Mexican plants in light of Trump’s new taxes on overseas vehicles and auto parts imports.

Antonio Filosa, the chief operating officer for North America, stated that the suspension “will impact some employees” at certain US powertrain and stamping plants. The company has already reported a decline this year, with 12% of US sales down from last year in the first quarter.

The parent company of the Dodge, Jeep, Ram, and Chrysler brands acknowledged disappointing sales and indicated that adjustments will continue as necessary amid ongoing trade tensions.

“We are increasingly aware of the medium and long-term effects of these tariffs on our operations,” Filosa conveyed in an email obtained by The Hill.
