An Illinois man has been accused of prolonged abuse and torture of his 16-year-old son-in-law.
Stephen Griffin, 44, is charged with first-degree murder and other related charges for the fatal beatdown and horrifying suffering of his son-in-law, Daniel Garza, according to the Sangamon County Law Office. It was done. Springfield Herald News reported.
The cruel stepfather has also been accused of throwing hot water at his teens, slamming his head with a nunchuck, stomping on the ankles, and giving the boy plenty of food and water.
Prosecutors said the teenager died of dull force trauma to his head, body and starvation.
The teen, who lived with her mother and stepfather from a hotel in Springfield, was taken to St. John's Hospital on Jan. 27 with a temperature of 94 pounds and 86 degrees, prosecutors said.
The battered teen also suffered from brain bleeding, burning on his face, neck and chest, and the wounds covered his body and fractures on his shoulder blades and ankles, according to the outlet, which shared a news release.

The boy was transferred to a children's hospital and eventually moved to Indianapolis for professional care, where he died on February 7th, prosecutors said.
Griffin will also be charged with worsening batteries, worsening domestic batteries, endangering the lifespan and health of children, and for abuse and criminal negligence of people with disabilities, the outlet reported.
He also faces sexual abuse and exploitation charges in unrelated cases involving a 16-year-old girl.
