Steph Curry's worn and signed sneakers are going up for auction at Sotheby's

A rare collection of sneakers previously worn by Stephen Curry is set to hit the auction block soon.

Sotheby’s announced this week that over 70 pairs of Curry’s shoes from this season will be auctioned starting April 13, right after his surprising departure from Under Armor.

The sneakers were used by Curry during various moments including tunnel walks, pregame warmups, and actual games. Some of them are even autographed by the Warriors star himself.

Curry expressed his enthusiasm for the auction, mentioning that all proceeds will go to the Eat.Learn.Play. foundation he runs with his wife, Ayesha, which focuses on helping children in need.

“We’re thrilled to present this unique collection in a way that brings fans along for the experience,” Curry said. He added that collaborating with Sotheby’s offers these sneakers visibility beyond the game, giving them new significance.

Since becoming a shoe free agent last November, Curry has sported various unique designs to pay tribute to friends and idols.

One notable pair he wore during a game was the Nike Kobe 6 Protro “Mambacita,” which honors Kobe Bryant and his daughter, Gianna. Experts predict this specific pair could sell for between $3,000 and $5,000.

Another highlight from the collection is the Nike Sabrina 3 set, also worn and signed by Curry. Sotheby’s anticipates it could fetch between $30,000 to $50,000 at auction.

“Reflecting on the NBA legends I grew up idolizing, to the current stars I love competing with, and the impactful figures in the WNBA—each pair holds a special meaning for me,” Curry shared.

“In terms of sneaker culture and basketball history, every pair signifies an iconic moment or a significant athlete’s story.”

The auction is scheduled to conclude on April 28th.
