Stephanie Pratt Deletes Social Media Following Criticism of Brother’s Mayoral Campaign

Stephanie Pratt has removed her social media profiles just two days after publicly criticizing her brother Spencer, who is running for mayor of Los Angeles.

The reality TV star went on a tirade against him over the weekend, labeling him unqualified for leadership and suggesting that supporting his campaign equates to “a vote for stupidity.”

Pratt, who mainly resides in London, hinted that her brother’s motives for running might be more about maintaining fame and promoting his memoir.

However, by Monday, she had taken substantial action: she deleted her account on X, made her profile private, and also permanently closed her Instagram account. Currently, her Instagram shows a message stating, “Profile is unavailable,” implying the account has been deleted.

Meanwhile, her X account hasn’t seen any posts in 2023; her last engagement was a retweet from November on the “genocide of Christians in Nigeria.”

Stephanie sparked considerable discussion with her harsh remarks aimed at Spencer from overseas. On X, she remarked, “Spencer has done a great job for the Palisades. But LA doesn’t need another unqualified, inexperienced mayor. Voting for him is a vote for stupidity.” She added, “He’s just trying to stay famous and promote his memoir. Don’t be fooled. Ideally, the Palisades should have its own mayor and police department.”

She expressed both a desire for Spencer to lead the Palisades and concerns about his ability to govern a city with a population of four million. “I’d be impressed if a Republican could transition to an L.A. Democrat,” she wrote.

Pratt also suggested that Los Angeles deserves someone with real work experience, sharing her worries for the city and asserting that Spencer could serve in government but that the city really needs help. She bluntly criticized current Mayor Karen Bass, saying, “Bass is the worst.”

This isn’t the first instance of family conflict; in 2019, she described Spencer and his wife Heidi Montag as “evil” and “toxic,” and their differences seem ongoing.

On the flip side, Spencer’s campaign is reportedly gaining traction, with some polls suggesting he might have a 14% chance of winning.

After filing his campaign paperwork, Spencer expressed his frustration about the current political climate, stating, “We cannot continue to have Karen Bass in office for another four years. She should have resigned a long time ago.”

Neither sibling has responded to requests for comments regarding the current situation.
