Months after Stephanie Pratt, Spencer Pratt’s sister, called a vote for him a “vote for stupidity,” she’s now backing his campaign to be the mayor of Los Angeles.
In an email, she confessed, “I was the first person to tell everyone that they were silly to support my brother.” Reflecting on her previous comments, she admitted, “Wow, was I wrong? He’s been digging up facts, and uncovering truths that we hadn’t realized before since the fire.”
Back in February, she posted some now-deleted comments criticizing him, stating, “Mr. Spencer has done a great job on the fence. But LA doesn’t need a new mayor with no qualifications or experience. A vote for him is a vote for stupidity.”
Despite her earlier criticism, she noted that Spencer is simply trying to maintain his fame and market his memoirs, urging people to not be misled.
Stephanie mentioned an “ideal world” where the Palisades could have their own mayor and police, but she expressed significant concern over the current state of Los Angeles. “I’m worried about Los Angeles. There’s nothing wrong with the government doing its job, but our city truly needs help,” she wrote.
She even humorously commented about their complicated relationship: “Everyone says we should support him no matter what. It’s unfortunate that he once put me in the hospital when I was 18. So, no, he’s not government material. Run the fence all you want, but leave LA out of it,” she quipped.
Spencer Pratt began his mayoral campaign in January, following the loss of his home in the Palisades fire. Since then, he has garnered attention in opinion polls, presenting himself as an anti-establishment candidate.
As primary voting approaches, it appears to be a tight race among Spencer Pratt, current Mayor Karen Bass, and City Councilman Nitya Raman, with some notable supporters including Paris Hilton and Dennis Quaid. Recent polls reflect that it’s shaping up to be a close race for those top spots to advance to the general election.
Though there’s less than a week left until the primaries, the political landscape remains dynamic. Spencer’s journey has certainly taken some unexpected turns.
