Stephanie Sparks, a former professional golfer and co-host of Golf Channel’s Big Break, passed away earlier this month. She was 50 years old.
Sparks, who played one year with LPGA Tour He represented the United States in the 1994 Curtis Cup, but died on April 13, according to an obituary shared online.

Tom Abbott, Sparks’ co-host on the reality show, confirmed the news in a post on X Saturday.

“Shocked and saddened by the death of Stephanie Sparks. Many of you will remember Steph as the host of #BigBreak. We worked together for seven seasons. Back then While we have many fond memories of Steph playing a key role in her big break success story, we think of her family. ”
The cause of death was not immediately disclosed.

Sparks was an accomplished amateur golfer.she played at Duke University; She was an All-American. After her college graduation, she competed on the Futures Tour and won the 1992 North and South Women’s Amateur, the 1993 Women’s Western Amateur, and the Women’s Eastern Amateur.
She played just one season on the LPGA Tour in 2000, and injuries cut her professional career short.

According to Golfweek, Sparks moved into broadcasting, hosting several series on the Golf Channel and reporting during tournaments.
Sparks’ family plans to hold a private funeral service.
“Stephanie graced our world with her presence, leaving behind cherished memories of laughter, kindness, and warmth,” her obituary said.
