WWE’s Danhausen Curse Affects Knicks and Miz
Danhausen’s unusual “curse” is making waves in the WWE and beyond. The Miz, Kit Wilson, and Dominik Mysterio are feeling its impact, but it’s also spilling over to the New York sports scene. Interestingly, while the New York Mets seem to be fine, the Knicks are experiencing some ripple effects, largely thanks to ESPN’s Stephen A. Smith.
Last week, Danhausen appeared on “First Take” and supposedly “cursed” the ESPN network. A passionate Knicks fan, Smith recently watched his team struggle against the Atlanta Hawks in the NBA playoffs, which sparked a mini feud on social media.
Danhausen tweeted, “(Stephen A. Smith) will apologize and Danhausen may consider lifting your curse. Please send me some human money as well.” However, Smith didn’t seem too keen to play along.
“I’m not apologizing for the awfulness, @DanhausenAD,” he fired back. “No way. Cursed or not, there’s no reason for the @nyknicks to lose this series to the @ATLHawks, no matter how good that young team is.”
Smith didn’t hold back, insisting that if the Knicks don’t turn things around, serious changes are in order: “They need to roll their heads. Period. Presidents! GM! Coaches! Players! And even the dance team! They better not lose this series!”
Meanwhile, despite the Knicks’ situation, Danhausen took to “Friday Night SmackDown” carrying a large photo of Smith’s head. “You better be nice to Danhausen. Just ask Stephen A. Smith,” he joked with fellow wrestlers Trick Williams and Lil Yachty. “What about the Knicks?!”
Game 4 between the Knicks and Hawks is set for Saturday at 6 PM ET. The drama continues, and both Danhausen and Smith seem to be enjoying the spotlight, even if it’s a bit chaotic.
