Here’s what you need to know about Taylor Swift’s new album, The Tortured Poets Department.

  • The 14-time Grammy winner released her long-awaited 11th studio album, The Tortured Poets Department, on Friday.
  • Swift sent fans into a frenzy at 2 a.m. when she revealed the album was a two-disc set. Titled “The Anthology,” Swift’s late-night surprise includes 15 bonus tracks of his own, bringing the total number of songs to a whopping 31 of his songs.
  • Swift originally announced the 16-track album at midnight, including two collaborations with Post Malone and Florence Welch. There are also four bonus tracks of his, “The Manuscript,” “The Balter,” “The Albatross,” and “The Black Dog,” which appear on various vinyl copies of the album. “The Anthology” will include these four songs and 11 new songs.
  • The album’s prologue, a poem about heartbreak, was written by Fleetwood Mac alum Stevie Nicks.
  • The album’s lyrics are peppered with the names of several celebrities, and some Swifties were surprised when singer Charlie Puth’s name came up.
  • Although some of Swift’s ex-girlfriends are not exempt from “TTPD,” the 34-year-old lovingly mentions her current boyfriend, Travis Kelce, on her new album’s song “The Alchemy.” It seems so.
  • Her ex-boyfriend, 1975 frontman Matty Healy, is reportedly mentioned throughout the 31-track record. Indeed, Healy, who was a comeback romance for the pop superstar after splitting from British actor Joe Alwyn after six years before their split in the summer, appears to have been the subject of a vicious takedown of the “smallest man ever”. However, other fans may speculate that the line “Sparkling Summer” is about Alwyn. There’s also a hint that “I Can Fix Him (No Really I Can)” (I love that title) may be about the 35-year-old Healy.
  • As for Alwyn, Swift hinted at their ill-fated six-year romance, which was a good, or for him not so good, part of the album. Check out his 10 Alwyn related references we found.

“I’m incredibly excited for both of them. Literally from day one of this documentary, I just learned about Taylor Swift in that documentary and then I learned about Travis, and I’m like, wait a second. I’m not a matchmaker, but I feel like all the problems we had in our past relationships will be resolved here.”

“She’s done it again, guys” Smith I wrote to Xthe post said during the broadcast, “Taylor Swift. That’s a superstar.”

Smith admitted on ESPN’s “First Take” last fall that he spent $20,000 on tickets to see Swift’s Elas tour, and criticized the attention the NFL gave them during the season. Despite the recent backlash, he has defended his relationship with Kelsey.

“I have to take a moment to defend Taylor Swift.” he said during an episode of “First Take” in January.. “Everyone’s sitting there acting like she’s some kind of nuisance. Sorry, she did her job. That Elas tour? Off the leash, [it] generated billions of dollars. ”

McAfee also expressed frustration with football fans ahead of the Super Bowl, where Swift celebrated after Kelce and the Chiefs won back-to-back championships.

“The most successful woman on the planet right now happens to be dating the greatest tight end of all time in the current dynasty. Why is everyone so mad about that?” McAfee said. “I’m tired of people getting mad about it. What the hell are you talking about? … I don’t understand.”
