Support is growing among the democratic strategists who are in the position of Stephen A. Smith running for president, with support aimed at running for president following the devastating 2024 election cycle.

Smith has been a Democrat voice critic since former Vice President Kamala Harris' election day defeat, and admits that he felt like a “damn fool” after voting for Harris.
“It's great that someone from outside of politics is having a compelling argument for the Democrats,” said Democrat strategist Jared Leopold.
“I think a lot of people have seen that the majority of swing voters treat politics as a side course rather than an appetizer, and sports are definitely the gateway,” he continued.
“The Democrats are forcing our points to debate and look for someone who won't step back,” added Leopold. “And it wasn't in politics, but Stephen A. Smith created a career that did just that.”
“The water is well, everyone in America has a platform where everyone can communicate the costs that the Trump administration is making us all pay,” says Joe Zepekki, a Democratic strategist.
Additionally, Democrat strategist Antjuan Seawright refused to take control of Smith for potential future runs.
“If there's one thing we've learned from previous elections, it's that different people get information from different places, whether the information is accurate or not,” Seawright said. “And I think it's certainly not unusual for outside voices to get attention as different people process information in different ways.”
“It's important to note that there are many similarities between sports and politics,” he continued. “Please contact the facts about being one of them, the competition is the other, whether you win in sports, you learn, and it's the same [politics] When they learn, you don't always lose either. ”
After the election, Smith went on to “The View” and expressed his interest in running for the presidency in 2028.
“If you come to me and say there's a legal shot to win the presidency of the United States, I'll definitely take that into consideration,” he said. “I'm kidding, but I mean that.”
In a recent Fox News appearance, Smith doubled his criticism of the Democrats, adding, “The fact that I am the candidate for the presidency in the United States is the clearest evidence of the pathetic nature of what exists within the Democrats today,” according to the Democratic vote.
“I have no business on that list at all. I'm not qualified. But it shows how pathetic something is in this particular moment.”
Smith returned to his previous comments on the president's run and stated that he did not want to participate in the “Sespool” of politics.
Recent poll data shows that 2% of Democrat voters support Smith's running for the 2028 presidency.
